The Ministry of labour contract indicating designation and monthly salary will be submitted for approval.
Immigration will perform a security check on the application and an initial E-Visa is issued post-approval.
Change of status will be issued if the Freelancer is inside the UAE. (If the Freelancer is outside the country, he/ she must enter the UAE using the newly issued E-Visa within 60 days.
A medical test is required as part of the visa process and can be done in both Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Medical test results take 3-5 working days to be issued. An express service is also available at an additional cost. We assist with arranging health insurance through the relevant insurance provider once the medical test is completed, and it will be linked to your Emirates ID.
If you are required to complete your biometrics, please note that this can only be completed at a biometrics center in Dubai.
As per new regulation, the Emirates ID now officially serves as your residency document, having replaced the visa stickers on to the passports. Residency approval is received in 2-3 working days. The Emirates ID card is issued within 3-5 working days of the visa stamping.

Where you can undertake eligible freelance work depends on your activity, the engagement and current requirements. Some free zones may require you to obtain an access pass (or similar) from the Free Zone Authorities, enabling you to enter and work in the respective Free Zone legally. In certain cases, particularly in Abu Dhabi, a visa issued from Abu Dhabi is required to obtain security clearances for oil, gas and power projects.
